My Editor--Quality Editing for You

Working within Your Budget. My Editor was established to provide first-time (or more experienced) authors an opportunity to have their books evaluated and edited by an editor. Your budget determines how much work will be done on your book; your needs determine our focus. But we use only experienced editors who have worked in your genre.

Great for Self-publishing. More and more authors today are choosing to self-publish their books. If this is your plan, it is important that you have your book professionally edited so that it can be its best before it is printed.

Helpful for Traditional Publishing too. What if you don't wish to self-publish, but you want to send your book to a traditional (royalty) publisher? A professional editor can still help you have a better book to show to a publisher. An editor can critique your book (tell you what works and what doesn't), edit your book so it's the best it can be . . . or just edit your proposal so that you can put your best foot forward when a publisher first sees your manuscript.

It's hard to get published today. Having a book edited by a professional is no guarantee it will be accepted for publication. But a professional editor can improve your manuscript and give you confidence that you are sending your best work. An editor can also act as a teacher, helping you see areas in which your writing can improve.

No Obligation! When you are assigned to an editor, she will tell you a little bit about her experience in the industry. If you are not convinced that the editor can make your work sparkle, you are under no obligation to hire your editor or send your manuscript to My Editor.
